#1 Gaspari Nutrition
Gaspari Nutrition is a supplement company founded by the famous pro bodybuilder Rich Gaspari.
Gaspari Nutrition has a huge supply of really good products, but as far as vegan protein powders go, these guys can’t be beaten.
If you want your mind to be blown by an incredibly smooth, and delicious protein powders, I highly recommend their proven vegan line. Specifically their vanilla chai protein. I have been buying this protein for years and it is absolutely my #1 choice as far as flavor and consistency versus the price of the protein.
I recommend mixing this with 14 oz of milk.
#2 Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard
I guarantee you ask any trainer or fitness enthusiast, and they will tell you that Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard is one of their favorite protein powders.
There’s a good reason too, it has been a staple in the fitness industry for years with phenomenal reviews to back them up.
I have to be honest, the only reason that this protein is not my #1 choice is because of the price. It is definitely one of the most expensive protein powders on the market. However, Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard is as good if not better than Gaspari Nutrition.
Whereas Gaspari Nutrition Proven Vegan is soy-based, Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard is whey which means that it comes from milk and therefore mixes phenomenally with milk.
Just trust me on this, the extreme milk chocolate is indistinguishable from chocolate milk.
I recommend mixing this with 12 oz milk, drink it cold, or heat it up for some protein hot chocolate :).
#3 BSN Protein
My last and final choice for protein is going to be the BSN Syntha-6 Cookies n’ Cream.
BSN is actually owned by the parent company that owns Optimum Nutrition, so it comes from a good company.
This Protein really tastes good. I’m usually not a fan of cookies n’ cream flavored things, but this just can’t be ignored.
My main hang-up with this protein is it’s pretty calorie-heavy coming in at 200 calories per serving and has a lot of carbs – more than 4x the amount compared to Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard and 2x the amount compared to Gaspari Nutrition.
If you’re someone looking to lose weight, you should go for one of the other two options. However, if you are trying to gain weight, then this protein powder is great for you!
Final thoughts
Finding good protein powders is a real trick these days. There are so many brands that claim so many similar benefits that it can be really confusing trying to figure out which one is best. Fortunately, I have been consuming protein powders for a long enough time that I have tried the best and the worst. I think that this list above will have a protein powder that will suit any goal. Price aside, the taste is going to be a really big factor in whether or not you will actually stick with a protein powder or not. All of the protein powders above taste phenomenal. All that’s left for you to consider is the goal you want the protein powder to accomplish and whether or not you have dietary restrictions to consider like lactose intolerance or being vegan.
If you have a protein that you have been using for a long time and swear by, drop it in the comment below so that others can check it out and hopefully benefit!
